They also seem to manipulate review sites in a very underhand and sinister way. The reason I say this is that I have seen many sites with a mix of bad reviews (1 star) and brilliant reviews (5 stars) and nothing in between. Also some of the 5 star reviews have damning text - which indicates the reviewers have been given a reason to go back and upgrade their reviews.
In my case I ordered an App development coarse for £39 reduced from over £300. I read the specification carefully before buying and then when I could get on the coarse I found immediately that I needed an apple mac - which was not explicitly stated. I immediately asked for a refund thinking that any reputable company would be happy to refund in this circumstance because signing up had not cost the coarse providers (Blue Mountain Training) any money, and I had only completed about 5 pages of the... id not know.. 120 say.. pages of the coarse. Initially wowcher said I could half my money back or take it up with blue mountain - I took it up with both of them and they refused to refund me.
The coarse itself was very badly put together in places - a power point presentation style - in which it would sometimes leave a page before you'd had time to read it... and cludgy things like that.
Having looked around I notice that blue mountain offer a lot of coarses through discount sites - probably because their products are not worth the money,
So - In my opinion, both Wowcher and Blue Mountain Training are not to be trusted and are basically scamming the public. I'm sure that there must be some wowcher deals that are OK but I for one will never trust them again, and I think you should be very BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
